As the most visual representation of the South Forsyth band program the 120 plus-member marching band program is an integral part of the overall program. The Marching “War Eagle" Band has toured and performed all over the southeast as well as performances in New York City, Washington D.C. and Orlando, Florida.

In 2010 and 2011 the Marching "War Eagle" Band won three straight Silver Division Sweepstakes at the McEachern Marching Showcase in 2010, and the Blue Ridge Mountain Marching Festival and Georgia Bandmasters Championship in 2011. Overall the Marching "War Eagle" Band has consistently scored superior ratings, won their class and made the finals of the Lassiter Marching Showcase in 2006 through 2009 and the LaFayette Marching Classic in 2012. The band is also home to the award winning South Forsyth High School Colorguard and Winterguard.

From 2002 to 2006, the Marching “War Eagle” Band experienced a growth that led to the group performing with over 160 members. Since the school was split in 2010 the program has grown over 20% each year. You can see this group perform at the fall friday night football games.
